August report

August was another good month for the bass still fishing on the anchor with worm catching decent numbers with a decent average size no signs yet of the bass shoaling up smoothounds flatties dogs etc making up the day,this summer has probably been one of my best for bass with bait I've stopped posting to much on Facebook to many eyes know what we're up to.

August also sees the annual rnli kids fishing competition where we managed some good results top girl 2nd boy and top boat overall a great day great weather and a great amount of money raised for the ramsgate lifeboat unfortunately the rnli have come under some scrutiny regarding the small boat issue these brave men and women will go any weather 24/7 wether it be a sinking boat or a walker cut off by the tide to save lives I don't agree with what's happening but they will answer any call so for those that do slag them off for what they have to do have a think if it was you or a loved one that needed them and they said no sorry can't be bothered who would you feel then.(rant over).

Away from the boat I've been making plans to alter a few things to the boat next year we will be offering offshore trips wrecking drifting etc maybe some tope if they show and some 4hour mackrel trips.
